About Thibaud

I am currently an engineering student in second year (level M1) at the CentraleSupélec school (formerly Centrale Paris) in Paris Saclay. I had my bac S specialty math and ISN, then I did two years of preparatory class in PCSI / PSI * at Lycée Montaigne in Bordeaux, before joining the CentraleSupélec school. I will start next September an internship at CEA in quantum physics and nano-electronics. This course allowed me to have solid knowledge in math and physics-chemistry, but also to know well the educational requirements at any level to allow you to improve results effectively.

College-high school level: During these school holidays, the goal is to make sure that the student is well level to continue his lessons without difficulty at the next school year. For many students experiencing difficulties in mathematics, the major problem is a lack of self-confidence, which discourages them and sometimes makes them hate the subject. Thus, I make sure to always put the student in confidence by showing him that he is able to understand, and by making sure that he is not blocking himself by convincing himself that he cannot arrive. The long vacation period can be very beneficial since the student can work at his own pace, without the pressure of assignments and written exams. First I try to identify which points of the program are mastered or not with simple exercises, then I make him rework the course by dwelling on the points that the student did not understand, which cannot often not be done by a full class teacher due to lack of time. I then propose gradual level exercises so that the student understands the methodology and logic of solving the exercises. Level preparation for math sup: I also offer lessons in math, physics and engineering sciences to students who have finished their S terminal and entering math prep prep next year. The goal of these courses is both to ensure that the math and physics program is perfectly mastered, and also to give confidence to the student so that he can calmly approach the start of the new school year. For a successful return to prep, it is first of all necessary that the math and physics program of the final year is perfectly mastered. Once this point is assured, I can offer more advanced exercises than the bac level exercises, but still based on knowledge of terminal. The idea is to already familiarize yourself with demonstration and exercise resolution methods requested in preparation as many good high schools already do, but without necessarily trying to get ahead of the program. Level preparation for special math: The aim of these courses is to help to get back to level in physics, maths or engineering sciences if one of the subjects or certain points were not well assimilated during the year of math sup. I can offer different exercises adapted to the level and ambition for the student's exams, and I can also offer training on real subjects of written or oral competition. Again, the goal is not to get ahead but to provide a solid foundation for the rest of the preparation.
