About Alejandro
I have completed over 80 college credits throughout high school. My scores of 5 on the AP tests for Calculus AB, Calculus BC, and Biology support my proficiency in the subjects. With this knowledge, I have applied it in my research experience at Florida International University where I collaborated on the development of piezoresistive sensors, and now at the University of Miami working on a prototype to address ocean acidification, eutrophication, and pollution in coastal environments.

My teaching method focuses on understanding and developing problem-solving skills. Through interactive discussions, practical examples, and applications I ensure a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. A typical lesson will begin with breaking down the complex topics into digestible segments and helping apply the knowledge yourself. Flexibility is important as adjustments will be needed based on individual learning styles. I will actively seek ways to make lessons effective and relevant.
My tutoring caters to students at various levels from middle school courses, and SAT math, to high school courses, to college level Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Biology 1, and Biology 2. Whether assisting with specific course material or exam preparation I am committed to helping students achieve their academic goals
