About Tori
I am a third year Building Engineering student studying at Concordia University. I have experience as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant for an undergraduate level engineering class where I would prepare the material to be taught, conduct the lesson, and grade academic papers. Furthermore, I have been giving private tutoring lessons to CEGEP students since 2018.

My lessons are geared towards each individual's learning style and needs!
My go-to methodology is focused on easy learning; concepts are broken down in order to ensure that students understand that math is attainable. It doesn't always have to be something overwhelming.
I have experience being tutored and therefore understand that frustration can arise from not understanding the material being taught. With this in mind along with my experience as a Teaching Assistant at Concordia University, I have been able to handle individual's frustration by breaking down lessons even further and giving various tips regarding the material with the goal of understanding the concept as a whole. Furthermore, I find it happens too often in math that a simple procedure is followed rather than focus being put towards understanding the concepts being taught. My goal is to ensure that individuals have a solid grasp of these concepts in order to be able to excel in math and sciences.
My lessons are for any high school or CEGEP student experiencing difficulties in their learning or are simply looking to get ahead in their studies. Being a woman in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), I think it's important that girls gain the confidence in their learning and their understanding of math early on in their academic careers.

Details
All my lessons last 60 minutes although I am flexible. I do not hesitate to go a little over the 60 minutes, at no cost, if I am finishing up a lesson. Also, I am more than happy to respond to e-mails regarding any emergency questions a student may have before a test (once again at no cost).
