About Diepchau-Catlyn
Hello! My name is Catlyn and I am a dedicated tutor with a passion for helping students unlock their full potential in math and physics. With years of experience tutoring students of all ages, I've built a strong foundation in advanced mathematics and physics--skills I honed through a rigorous high school curriculum and now as an engineering student at Kansas State University, where I proudly maintain a 4.0 GPA. My goal is to create a supportive and effective learning environment where complex topics become more approachable, and each student can confidently reach their academic goals. Whether you're struggling with foundational concepts or tackling advanced problems, I'm here to help guide you every step of the way. Let's work together to make your success in these subjects a reality!

Teaching method consists of AVID-style structure starting with identifying the point-of-confusion, reviewing notes, guiding questions, working alongside the student on further worksheets, and finally checking for the student's understanding of the subject.
Lesson plan: work through the student's past assignments or exams with them to explain mistakes and alternative methods, then guide the student through additional questions to further discuss the content and get practice in the subject.
What sets me apart from other tutors? Instead of simply providing answers, I will work alongside your student on their assignments and find questions of my own, therefore leading the student closer to understanding the content, rather than relying on memorization.
These lessons are for any students struggling to understand content or are seeking a deeper comprehension for the "why" in their courses. Qualified to instruct for mathematics and physics courses from middle school through high school; and if needed, general education mathematics and physics courses for college students.
