I believe math and physics, when it comes to studying, should be broken down into the understanding phase and then the practice phase. Understanding involves me running through the material in a simplistic view as to cover the broad view and scope of the subject/section of work. Then the practice, or application, of the material is where I spend most of the time, as this starts to dive deeper into the course material and really uncovers all the weaknesses that may arise in each individual. It is through this process where students, including myself, usually gain the most understanding.
