About Renato

I am a mechanical engineering student from Purdue University entering my senior year of undergrad.

While in college I have tutored 7 students who have all been pursuing either engineering or physics degrees themselves.

My students have all done well in the courses I have tutored them in achieving either A's or B's.

About the lesson

All the my tutoring experience has been on a one-on-one basis in person but I do believe I have the capabilities of tutoring either small groups or online.

All students learn differently but fundamentally subjects such as math and physics will always require a degree of practice and problem-solving. Due to this, my teaching methods often emphasize walking through effective homework problems or creating problems that can test multiple concepts simultaneously.

My lesson plan is highly dependent on what my student is trying to accomplish with their tutoring. Some students only need help with homework or exam preparation while others need help on a conceptual level.

Having a syllabus or list of topics that a student wants to learn from a subject is crucial in maximizing the effectiveness of the tutoring sessions and will be established on the first tutoring session.
