About Theo
I have been studying physics and mathematics since I was young, but what truly drives me is sharing these subjects with people who are interested in them or who struggle to understand concepts that can sometimes be difficult to master. Now in my third year of engineering school, I use these tools every day, as they are essential for a future engineer. I myself struggled to understand many of these concepts in the past, which makes me able to quickly identify a student’s difficulties as well as the methods needed to overcome them. I am also used to working with students facing challenges—whether it be those I help as a teaching assistant or my own classmates! I always try to understand their perspective, their logic, their ideas, and from there I guide them by asking questions where their reasoning falters, instead of giving them the answer right away. I want them to find it themselves, as I believe this is one of the best ways to develop their skills in the long run. The goal is to ask questions—and above all, never be afraid to ask them. I am in no way here to judge; otherwise, I would not be offering my help! My only aim is to make the beautiful concepts of physics and mathematics, which explain the world around us, as clear as possible—with good spirit and without stress.

Based on my experience as both a student and a teaching assistant, explaining theoretical concepts is important but does not allow one to fully master them.
That is why, in my lessons, I provide explanations of theoretical concepts directly followed by exercises to apply them. It is by practicing different types of problems that a student truly understands the theory behind them. Without practice, most students feel like they understand, but in reality they do not grasp everything.
Therefore, using analogies, diagrams, and simpler words to explain complex theories forms the first part of a lesson.
After that, supervised exercises are carried out to see how the student thinks through a problem, allowing me to help with their reasoning when they encounter difficulties.
Finally, the last part consists of slightly more complex exercises to be done outside of class time, which are essential for understanding. These exercises will be reviewed in the following lesson, but it is crucial that the student tries them on their own without any external help, as this both improves comprehension and mirrors the position they will be in for the rest of their studies.
The lessons are intended for any student from middle school (6th grade) up to the second year of higher education, including high school and in particular preparation for the final exams.
I believe that still being a student myself is a real advantage in the help I can provide, as I am used to sharing my reasoning, questioning it, and finding methods to overcome difficulties in mathematics and physics concepts.
