About Ashkar
I was enrolled at Purdue University as an aerospace engineering student, but for financial reasons I decided to start my college career at Georgia Gwinnett College. I have tutored O- and A-Level mathematics and physics subjects for two years during high school in both Bangladesh and the United States. I have ample experience in tutoring for SAT's and SAT Subject Tests as well.

So far, I have taught high school students in mathematics and physics, including my peers. My teaching method is highly personalized, so I only teach one or two students at most at a time. I gather as much information as I can about my student - such as how far they already know a topic, any preconceptions they might have, and their general attitude towards the subject - before I engage in teaching them a new topic. I prefer explaining the topic based on any homework or classwork assignment the student can bring, by solving it myself and seeing what is the best way to teach it. In this way I can make sure I do not cover topics they have not learned yet, thus not burdening them with unnecessary information. I do recommend YouTube channels and websites on specific subjects and topics that I myself watch and read to learn to this day.
