About Elliot
I am a chemical engineering student at Newcastle University and my degree is heavily based around maths and chemistry
I achieved 3 A*'s in maths, chemsitry and biology at A-level
I also achieved 9 A*'s at GSCE level including maths and chemistry
I am relatively new to tutoring however have tutored a student in A-level maths and chemistry who went on to achieve B grades in both subjects and is now studying a biochemistry degree
I am comfortable tutoring both maths and chemistry at A-level and GCSE level with maths in particular being a strong subject for me to teach.
I am also competent in tutoring younger age groups across a arrange of subjects for example for entrance exams for grammar schools of which I am currently tutoring a student in preparation for next years entrance exam at Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar school.

My teaching method is to go through content on particular areas of weakness for the student following up with practice examples in the same topic which I will go through step by step. I will also go through past exam questions and showing the student the method of approach in tackling the question and the areas to target to achieve all of the marks. I am also happy to go through any questions or topics the student specifically asks me to that they may have struggled whilst in a lesson at school or on any practice exams or questions they may have done at school or at home.
