About Miles
I am an engineer studying at Oxford. I have been tutoring maths for the past 3 years and science for the past 2 years. I mainly tutor students with learning disabilities who need a bit of extra help to take higher maths and triple science GCSE.

With teaching being moved online over the past year it has become even harder for students who might lose attention in class to stay focused. When helping a student catch up on a given topic I usually start the lesson with something the student is already comfortable with and ease into the harder parts of the topic. There is nothing worse than being in a lesson where you don't understand what is going on and I've found that you are much less likely to lose a student's focus when you engage them with tasks that boost their confidence.
