About Achmat
I am a third year electrical and computer engineering student studying at UCT. I started tutoring in high school to my fellow peers voluntarily and also tutor students in grade 10 -12 over the past 4 years. I live in Cape Town and went to Alexander Sinton High School where I passed maths with a distinction. I strive in helping students understand maths and just gain knowledge in general.

In the first lesson I’ll give a quick assessment on each section. Nothing too hard. This gives me an understanding of where the learner struggles, what pace his/her is on and how I can improve or offer a more viable method in answering questions. From there I mainly follow what the students curriculum is. I find it helpful if I teach methods of approaching a question rather than just coping a memo. I’m a firm believer that with practice comes understanding.
