I enjoy teaching Python and JavaScript to people enrolled in coding classes or college. I primarily teach data structures and algorithms to help tutees pass coding interviews, but I can tutor most, if not all, undergraduate CS courses from Theory of Computation concepts like Finite Automata to data analysis using Pandas/Numpy.
Hello and welcome to my profile,
My name is Nathan, and I am currently an undergraduate student at Wofford College, majoring in Computer Science (3.7/4.0 cumulative GPA and 3.9/4.0 CS GPA). Back in high school, I enjoyed playing video games and building computers. When I came to college, I completed my first computer science course during the second semester of my freshman year, and I enjoyed it. During my sophomore year, I took some of the harder CS classes, such as data structures & algorithms. At the same time, I started tutoring programming at my school as well as on Wyzant and started creating websites for my university in .NET. After my sophomore year, I was able to work at four different internships listed below.
Regarding my work experience, I interned at UnitedHealth Group during the Summer of 2017, where I did full-stack web development HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap. Summer 2018, I interned at Microsoft in where I was looking at how people interacted with the Windows Settings application and did software engineering with C#. Fall 2018, I interned at Honda R & D in Raymond, OH doing full-stack iOS/Android development using React Native, AWS, and Firebase. This Summer, I am working as a full-stack developer for Heroku, where I am creating web-services using Ember, Heroku, GraphQL, Qunit, and Mirage. I plan to graduate with a B.A. in Computer Science in December 2019.
I have tutored many people before both on and off of Wyzant. Let me know what you are currently having trouble with and I will let you know if I can help out.
Programming Languages/Frameworks I Tutor: HTML, CSS, Javascript, MySQL, Python, Java, Ember, GraphQL, Pandas, Numpy, Testing ( JUnit, QUnit, Pytest) as well as technical interview prep
