About Juan
I am a Colombian international student in the Chemical and Environmental Engineering program, who has tutoring experience with middle and high school kids and is willing to provide an excellent service to families that need support with the formation of academic skills and values for their kids.
I came recently to Canada to provide myself and my family with a better future in a nation that has greater opportunities and to expand my vision in the environmental field on pro of the well-being of our planet and its spaces.
I consider I am a very confident and respectful person with good values that have been built from home, and I just want to obtain better life conditions, I will be always grateful to the ones who trust in me to support their child, or the students that see in me not just a tutor but a friend.

My regular lesson plans have the main objective of setting bases for students who have several weaknesses in different topics, not just to pass a test or do homework for them.
I usually implement written summaries that include formulas, exercises, and drawings to illustrate how math works and I try the most to get the student closer to the topic in a way they will find it cool or at least interesting, not as an obligation.
Each class demands attention and attitude from both me as the tutor and the student for them to learn and get over that knowledge hole they have.
The lessons are for middle and high schoolers, and I consider myself as a differential alternative from the rest because I know how it feels to fail and I am closer in age and context to the students.
