Teaching Methodology: I believe in building deep conceptual understanding through active engagement and tailored instruction. My methodology combines real-world applications to connect theory with everyday life, adaptive pacing, ensuring students master foundational ideas before moving forward, and frequent feedback loops, using quick assessments and open dialogue to track progress and adjust strategies. I also prioritize creating a safe, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes because that’s where real learning happens.
My typical lesson plan is structured in this format (but flexible):
1. Warm-up (5–10 min): Quick review or diagnostic questions to assess retention
2. Core concept (20–25 min): Introduction of new material using examples, analogies, and interactive discussion
3. Practice & application (20–30 min): Guided problem-solving, with increasing complexity and real-world relevance
4. Wrap-up (5–10 min): Summary of key takeaways, clarification of doubts, and preview of next session
What sets me apart is my ability to spark curiosity by linking physics and math to fields like engineering and computer science. I have a proven track record of connecting with diverse learners—from high-achieving students to those who struggle with confidence or learning differences. Ultimately, I emphasize metacognition, ensuring students understand not just what they learn, but how they learn best.
Who the Lessons Are For: I tutor students at various levels, including:
• High school (Grades 9–12): Algebra, geometry, calculus, classical mechanics, electromagnetism
• CEGEP and undergraduate level: Linear algebra, differential equations, thermodynamics, quantum physics
• Adult learners and professionals: Preparing for standardized tests (SAT, GRE, etc.)
Whether a student is aiming for top grades, preparing for university entrance, or simply trying to overcome a fear of math, I meet them where they are and help them move forward with confidence.
