About Houchuan
I’m a Computer Engineering student at a top Canadian university, and I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn. Over the past few years, I’ve worked as a teaching assistant and also done one-on-one tutoring. These experiences have taught me how to explain ideas in clear, simple ways and adapt to each student’s learning style. I love seeing that “aha!” moment when things finally click, and my goal is to make learning feel less stressful and more rewarding.

I take great care of my students' situations and will create a personalized plan for each one. I believe that people struggle to learn not because they are not smart, but because they have not found a pattern that is suitable for them. For a typical teaching session, I would start by talking about some practical scenarios where the relevant concepts are introduced, explaining the idea and how it could be used to solve the problem, and finally going through further practice problems to solidify the knowledge you have just learned. I offer secondary school-level math, physics, and general computer science classes. I also offer post-secondary computer science classes with a focus on digital hardware design, software engineering practice, and microcomputer system design.
