About Neptune
I have tutored a variety of middle school students in math in multiple subjects. I have also worked with students individually for extended periods of time for a consistent boost in mathematical knowledge. I also have recent and extensive experience in high school math courses helping my peers and younger siblings though the last few years. I also understand that methods of teaching math has shifted over the last few years, and I have continued to adapt to new methods being taught.

I ask students about what they need help with and give example questions within that subject or use direct problems from given materials such as textbooks or paper homework. I then have them attempt to solve questions first to see their own preferred methods of solving. After, I support them in the use of their own methods and suggest tips and give reminders on what principles can and should be applied. With this method, I will be actively listening and supporting the student with their own personal needs rather than repeating general lessons about the subject. I want to encourage them and give them the extra support to succeed in math with whatever methods works best for them.
