About Lucas
I am currently studying A Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) and Master of Engineering at UQ and am a recipient of the UQ Excellence Scholarship. Throughout my time in senior school, I frequently tutored other students in my classes and also lower year levels in sessions hosted by my school; however, also privately. I also achieved an ATAR of 99.60 and was awarded certificates of excellence by both the Royal Australian Chemical Institute and the Australian Physics Institute.

My tutoring is always catered towards the student's wants, needs, and goals as every student's case is unique and a targeted approach will deliver the most effective outcome for them and their family.
My lessons are typically 60 minutes in length; however, this can be adapted to the student's preference. Throughout my studies, I found the most effective study/tutoring sessions were highly focused. This work hard, play hard studying strategy provides a great study and life balance and avoids the dread and strain of studying that is common during exam and assignment periods.
My most common and significant focus is on understanding content as this is the purpose of their education. However, if a student requires a certain grade or only level of understanding, then that can also be achieved. In this case, further or deeper understanding may not be suited for the student's needs and result in a misallocation of the student's time and resources, hindering their progress towards achieving their goals.
