About Hemant
Hey, I’m Hemant, a UBC Engineering student who knows what it’s like to struggle with math and physics, especially in high school. I used to find certain topics confusing too, but over time I learned how to break them down and actually understand the “why” behind each step. That experience helps me explain things in a way that makes sense, no matter your starting point. I have previous experience as throughout grade 12 I volunteered as a tutor for grade 10 and 11 math and physics. I’m patient, easygoing, and focused on helping students build confidence one concept at a time. In my free time, I love playing sports, chess and hanging out with friends.

Hi, I’m Hemant, a UBC Engineering student who loves breaking down tough math and physics concepts into simple, visual steps. My approach is all about understanding why formulas work instead of just memorizing them.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what you already know, then we go through example problems together, and finish with a few practice questions you can try on your own. I adjust my pace depending on how comfortable you feel with each topic.
What sets me apart is that I’ve recently gone through the same material myself, so I know where students usually get stuck and how to explain it in plain language. My lessons are for high school students (Grades 9–12 or IB/AP level) who want to build confidence in math, physics, or general problem-solving skills.
