About Andrew
I am a computer engineering student who knows the pain of failing. I have been tutoring privately for two years and have taught four students. Graduating with a 4.1 GPA from Susan E. Wagner Highschool and with seven AP courses (the maximum offered) under my belt, I am currently enrolled in Stevens Institute of Technology and commute daily from Staten Island to Hoboken. Some of my current course work includes Mechanics (physics), Biology, and Advanced Calculus. I enjoy teaching math and science because I understand the feeling of struggling in these courses and love teaching students that it is not only possible to excel in them, but there is a form of beauty to their nature.

My goal as a tutor is to not just improve the grades of my students but to inspire them to be the best version of themselves. I have a rather unconventional form of teaching that has proven to be very effective with my students. Rather than just sitting and studying by way of writing and practicing problems, I like to engage my students by doing different physical activities to keep the mind engaged and relaxed and grant prizes when a goal is achieved. This is a very upfront and active style of teaching, but just to provide some context to my methodology, memory is not solely isolated in any one region of the brain, it is spread throughout thus the best way to learn is to incorporate a wide range of senses and movements.
