About Hannah

I graduated from the University of Kent with a first class degree in Art History. I truly have a love of education, fist began tutoring in my second year at Uni, with an overseas student learning English.

Having worked as a baby sitter, and as an Activity leader with Churchill House Summer language schools, I have a big emphasis on fun and practical learning, bringing in games and stories into every part of learning.

About the lesson

My tutoring is very pupil specific, so I work with my students to see where their struggles lie and focus on the tricky parts. I carefully create bespoke worksheets and resources that turn the tricky bits into easy to understand tasks, with an emphasis on fun learning!

I'm a big believer in supportive encouragement learning, and learning with stories - simply adding a story to a worksheet is a great way to boost engagement, and ultimately understanding with a task.

Finally, such a big part of learning is our confidence. It can be had to develop confidence in a classroom setting, and even harder when the schools have been shut - but I'm here not just to improve technical skills, but boost confidence in my pupils so that they aren't afraid to tackle challenging tasks, and can self-assess their mistakes in a positive and progressive way.
