About Mariana
I am a 17-year-old high school student, who studied at Gimnasio Colombo Británico School in Bogotá for 8 years and at Colegio Colombo Británico School in Cali for 4 years. I have presented Cambridge KET and PET exams with a high score, and I am currently preparing to take the IELTS exam. I have a great knowledge of American and English culture thanks to different experiences of living with native people, including a school exchange to England.

My teaching method is based on surrounding the student within the culture throughout day-to-day activities such as watching a movie, going on social networks, listening to music, reading a book, etc. This not only amplifies the student's vocabulary with both colloquial and punctual expressions and words, but also helps it engage with the expressions that are frequently used. I would say that my advantage is that, at a young age, I could empathize better with the students so that a bond of trust is built that facilitates understanding of the language. For the same reason, I can do the tutorials in a didactic and interesting way for teenagers and children, so that they can be better disregarded.
