About Brent
I have been a professional college instructor for a long time and I am considered reliable by students and peers. I have a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and a certificate in TEFL (completed by June 2026). I have participated in academic work at many different levels. My student experience includes several in-person and online courses in second languages, which gives me a small taste of the difficulty of that process and heightens my respect for ESOL learners.

I think the most important factors in learning a new language are receiving encouragement and usable feedback.
