About John Joseph
I have a Master's in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching from the University of Oxford as well as a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Toronto in Ethics, Society & Law, Philosophy, and Semiotics. I have been teaching English and ESL to adults and university students from all around the world for the last 6 years. I currently teach English for Effective Communication at the University of Toronto's English Language Program. I have also been teaching students from over 90 countries online for the past few years.
I love teaching because I enjoy empowering my students to achieve their goals through language. It's a lot of fun helping people from different backgrounds, cultures, and countries become the best version of themselves through education.

I help my students by making English easy for my students to learn and use. First, I work with my students to understand their language goals, objectives, and challenges.
Then, we will work together to create a plan to help you achieve your language goals as quickly and effectively as possible. I want to give you the skills and confidence to use English so that you can accomplish your life goals. I also want to teach you how to learn more effectively so that you can succeed even without a language tutor.
After every lesson I will email you any notes and links that we used during the lesson so that you can focus on learning well.
