About Dan

Hi! I’m a British English teacher and MA student in Cognitive Science and Language, based in Barcelona.

I offer one-to-one English coaching for adult professionals, helping you gain confidence, fluency, and clear communication in academic, healthcare, and workplace contexts. I specialise in supporting those who need English for their career or studies; presentations, meetings, conferences, or research writing.

With over 5 years of teaching experience and a background in healthcare communication working in the UK NHS as a Speech and Language Therapy Rehab Assistant, I bring practical and evidence-based strategies to help you communicate effectively in English. My teaching is friendly, structured, and tailored to your goals.

Academic English; essays, dissertations, literature reviews, university writing skills / proofreading and feedback

Professional English; healthcare communication and clinical settings, workplace communication, meetings and presentations

About the lesson

My experiences living abroad have shaped the way I think about language learning and teaching, and I focus on creating an immersive, conversational experience in every lesson. I am currently completing a Master’s in Cognitive Science and Language, which deepens my understanding of how language is processed and learned.

I enjoy our first meeting, as it’s a chance to get to know each other and start tailoring lessons to your interests, learning style, and current level.
