About Gabriella

I have been tutoring students both in-person and virtually since my junior year of high school. Now exiting college with a degree in English Education, I can confidently say that my educational philosophy has evolved into a student-centered and optimistic outlook. I try to gear my teaching towards the interests of the students since I find that retention and application increase when the student is actually interested in what the content contains. My role as a tutor is to meet the student where they are academically and present the content in an easy to comprehend way, alongside some study tools that are useful in more than just one subject area.

About the lesson

My lessons are specifically catered towards individuals based on their learning needs and interests. I work with students at all levels and create a positive outlook on learning and literacy at every step. My goal is to provide students with a toolbox of skills and techniques that they can use in every aspect of their academic career and into adulthood, not just English. A typical lesson with me will focus on the fundamentals of the content through direct instruction, which will stem into a student-led exploration and application of topics to ensure mastery.
