About Magda
I am currently an English Home Language as well as Foreign Language teacher for high school learners. I have been teaching for five years and counting, I have taught Business English for first year students at our university as a facilitator.
I studied graphic design and photography, followed by B.A Communication Studies majoring in English and Criminology, after completing my degree I did a year specialising in English and Afrikaans/Dutch. I then completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education and I am professionally qualified to teach English and Afrikaans as Home Language as well as a foreign language. I also have my TEFL 120 Hours as well as additional TEFL in Advanced Grammar and Teaching Young Learners.

I am an English Language teacher for high school learners. I try to incorporate all different learning styles into my lessons thus not depriving any learner from learning. I incorporate technology and traditional teaching methods as I find they go hand in hand and are beneficial for all.
I start each lesson with an ice breaker, something fun and enticing, which also serves to test the learners knowledge on previous lessons. I then proceed to a more in depth lesson on a specialisation i.e. grammar etc. I do include a small test in each lesson testing the learners knowledge of the current lesson as well as converse a lot with them, to practice speaking in English. I tend to end my lessons with a cool off session, recapping on the lessons key elements.
