About Michael
My name is Michael Cregg. I'm a final year student studying Commerce International (Spanish) at UCD. I am a very patient and friendly tutor based in Leopardstown. I sat my Leaving Cert in 2021 achieving 625 points and 100% in my HL Accounting. I love teaching and have a fresh and up-to-date approach to the current course and its recent changes. I understand the student perspective well and use my own studying experiences to inform my teaching.

I am a very organized tutor and aim to instill this quality in my students as well. I plan all my lessons in advance and always ensure my students know what topics we’ll be covering next. In-person, I work through questions step-by-step using relevant resources and written examples, so students can clearly follow along and ask questions as we go. I regularly check in with both students and parents to make sure the pace of the lessons is comfortable and effective. I keep parents well-informed about their child’s progress and areas we’re focusing on. I have a strong set of study techniques that I adapt to suit each student’s learning style—whether they are visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners. Each week, I assign homework to reinforce the skills we’ve developed during lessons, and I also organize tests to be completed at home under exam conditions to build confidence and exam readiness. I am always available during the week by text or email if students need help with homework or have any questions, and I often send useful notes, tips, or worked examples to support their independent study. Above all, I am patient, approachable, and always happy to answer any questions—during lessons or in between.
