About Barbara
I have taught English for 20 years and ESL for three years. I love teaching and enjoy having a dialogue with my students about what they might want of need to learn. I have experience with honors students and with struggling learners. I even have experience working with struggling learners who are in honors classes. I have found that by having an open dialogue with students about their perceptions of literature, or composition, or even themselves as learners, I can help students succeed.

My approach to tutoring is student centered. We will discuss what it is that you need and I will make suggestions as to what I think you might need. With this in mind, we will chart a successful approach together. My sessions are for students who wish to enhance their understanding of literature, or develop their writing skills , or to simply improve their grades in English.
