About Ora Francine

Hello! I'm a Creative Writing major at the University of the Philippines Diliman, the top university in the Philippines, under the Department of English and Comparative Literature. I enjoy helping people communicate more confidently and express themselves more clearly in English.

Outside teaching, I'm passionate about literature, storytelling, and creative expression. I spend much of my time reading and writing fiction and creative nonfiction, and I enjoy learning about different cultures through language and conversation.

I've also had the opportunity to speak in seminars and on a podcast, experiences that have strengthened my communication skills and deepened my appreciation for meaningful conversations and cultural exchange.

I have six years of experience teaching English to children, teenagers, and adults from all over the world. Throughout this time, I have taught students with different goals, whether improving conversational fluency, developing writing skills, strengthening grammar and vocabulary, or building confidence in speaking English.

️ My background as a published writer also informs my teaching. My work has appeared in an anthology by Bookshelf PH that's available for purchase; Inquirer, the country's most credible and influential newspaper; Girls Right the World, an international literary journal; and Transit Dialog, a page with over 9.9k followers. This experience allows me to help students develop not only accuracy in English but also clarity, style, and self-expression in their communication.
