About Himanshu
I am currently enrolled at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln with a double major in microbiology and English, as well as minors in math, biochemistry, and biology. While I mainly work at a research lab on my campus that focuses on the human microbiome, I also spend time volunteering through the UNL Honors Program. I have been a tutor for nearly 4 years now in math, chemistry, and English. In my free time, I enjoy writing, cooking, and playing badminton.

Throughout my tutoring history, I have developed a learning plan that is guaranteed build confidence in my students. Each of my lessons begin with a conversation with the student about how school and independent studying is going, as well as how the student would like the lesson to be structured. Following this, I go through a process of introducing/reviewing a concept, showing an example, working through a problem together, and finally allowing the student to attempt one on their own. I like to end each lesson with a short assessment to address any issues that can be covered during the next lesson. This plan works on every type of learner, regardless of level or subject all because I instill the idea that the student is also in charge of their own learning.
