I based my all-levels classes on communicative approach. Gauge students’ understanding and interest in a topic by asking them to write down takeaways, questions, and something they enjoyed about a text, movie, video. I use brainstorming exercise as a quick way to generate students’ thoughts, measure prior knowledge, or check learning; lead students in a critical analysis of an image that enhances their observational, interpretive, and critical thinking skills. I teach students to carefully read material by having them underline key words, write margin notes, and summarize main ideas.
I have PhD in Linguistics/The English Language. Instructed series of TOEFL, TOEIC, and English courses including private sessions. Incorporated and fine-tuned broad range of lecture, classroom engagement, interactive, and assimilation teaching strategies to ensured course material value and delivery effectiveness. Evaluated and tracked student progress towards meeting academic assessment and language acquisition targets.
• Increased student assessment scores 150% through strategic development and delivery of a well-rounded course curriculum focused on mastering all forms of communication across reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Reduced failing rates 50% by adapting curriculum to provide individual, small group, and remedial instruction towards meeting individual and subgroup student needs and language learning environments.
• Bolstered student engagement 150% and overall course performance by employing a variety of instructional techniques and strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students
