About Marjorie Grace
Hi! I’m Marjorie, and I’m here to help you become more confident in reading and using English!
I believe that learning English doesn’t have to be difficult or stressful. My goal is to create a fun, comfortable, and friendly learning environment where you can practice, ask questions, and learn at your own pace.
In our lessons, we can work on reading, pronunciation, vocabulary, and understanding what you read. I’ll guide you step by step and make sure that the lessons are suited to your level and needs.
Don’t worry about making mistakes—we all make them when we’re learning! What matters is that we keep practicing and improving together. I’d love to help you enjoy learning English and become more confident with every lesson.

# My Teaching Method and Techniques
I believe students learn best when lessons are simple, interactive, and suited to their learning pace. As an English reading tutor, I focus on building confidence while helping students improve their pronunciation, vocabulary, comprehension, and reading fluency.
I use guided reading, repetition, phonics, vocabulary exercises, short stories, and comprehension questions. I also encourage students to read aloud and explain what they understood in their own words. I adjust my teaching style depending on the student's level and areas that need improvement.
# A Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson starts with a short review of the previous lesson, followed by a warm-up activity such as vocabulary or pronunciation practice. We then introduce the main reading material and go through it together, focusing on difficult words, pronunciation, and understanding the text.
After reading, I ask simple comprehension questions and activities to check the student's understanding. We end with a quick review of what was learned and a short practice activity or assignment that the student can work on independently.
# What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
What sets me apart is my patience and willingness to adjust to each student's needs. I understand that every learner has a different pace, so I avoid making students feel pressured or embarrassed when they make mistakes. Instead, I use mistakes as opportunities to learn and improve.
My goal is not only to help students read English better but also to make them more comfortable and confident when using the language.
# Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed primarily for children and young learners who are developing their English reading skills, particularly elementary and middle school students. I can also work with beginners who need additional support with basic English reading, pronunciation, vocabulary, and comprehension.
I am especially suited to students who need patient, step-by-step guidance and an encouraging learning environment.
