About Sofia
I am an ESL teacher. I am from Ecuador, and I am currently living in Stanford, California. I have been teaching English to children, teenagers and adults for 4 years. I would love to start teaching my native language which is Spanish because I think teaching is a meaningful and rewarding job, and it will let me connect with other people and teach them not just a language, but the culture behind it, too.

I have been using the Direct Method in my classes. I have taught all kinds of students from beginner to intermediate and advanced levels, and I could have seen their progress during their language learning journey. My classes are dynamic and I try to focus on student talking rather than teacher talking.
