About Stella

I'm Stella, I'm 18 and just got back from my year abroad in America. By attending my studies in Los Angeles, I had the opportunity to try different passions that required the application of the language. I wrote several essays for my literature class, music texts for the music classes, scripts and stories for the filmmaking class.

I had the pleasure of teaching Italian to my American friends and I was amazed by the results achieved in a short time. I have been told that I have the ability to instill my language in an interesting way.
Teaching is a way to learn better. I am always looking for improvement and I have decided to achieve it in this way: by helping other students who like me want to learn more and more.
I love the English language and I am ready to teach it to anyone who needs it.

About the lesson

Being a girl with a passion for music and cinema, I learned English through songs and films. This is the method I use. I make the language interesting and useful for everyday life. My teaching method is applicable to any student of level C1 or lower.
By varying the level of difficulty according to different needs, through the reading of texts and visions of films, I lead my students to search for unknown words and expressions and then assimilate them in their vocabulary.
Subsequently, I ask to write texts, which can be of any kind depending on the needs and interest of the student, using the expressions and words just learned. For example, a student passionate about journalism will write a newspaper article, a student interested in the world of cinema a script and a music lover will write a musical text.
For the notions of grammar I have several manuals to refer to, but I know perfectly the main grammatical structures and I usually ask them repeatedly so that my students do not forget them.

By writing essays and songs I developed my own way of writing, and that's what I want to convey: using English is easy and fun. For me it has become the language I use to express myself and to feel freer. During my year abroad I taught Italian to my peers and developed an effective teaching method. Having lived in Los Angeles for a year, I have developed an American pronunciation that I can convey in addition to classical English, since I’ve already done this with my French roommate, who has shown excellent results despite her difficulties with articulation.
