About Hijrat

I am a motivated and success driven individual who wishes to thrive in my professional career. My experiences with working in various job sectors has enabled me to gain valuable skills that now permits me to adapt to any work environment. I have realized that my true passion is in the English Language and share this enthusiasm by helping students to achieve amazing results.
I know that I am a well-qualified candidate to work as an English Tutor, as my subject knowledge from a well-deserved degree in English Literature with Modern History, has prepared me to use my desire for English and teach it to those who wish to thrive in the subject.
I have extensive tutoring experience in a variety of different age groups from year one, up to A Levels. I have mainly taught GCSE and IGCSE English Language and English Literature syllabuses. I have helped students to analyse Literature, write essays, understand historical events, and everything required to achieve outstanding marks in essays. My experiences in working as an English Tutor, has given me the relevant experience necessary to be able to work under pressure, and deal with a large group of students at a time, despite the different abilities of students.
I have been rewarded with promotions and initiatives for helping students achieve outstanding results and helping struggling students pass their GCSE English as a core requirement of the British curriculum, to progress to a higher level in their academic studies. My colleagues, students, students’ parents and supervisors have recognised my hard work each time I deliver my lessons. In addition, to make sure they understand entirely any concerns with their studies and feel confident once undertaking their final examinations and assignments.

About the lesson

Tutoring young adults and schoolchildren on a one-to-one basis, preparing for GCSE and A-level English, alongside managing a small team of students, has helped me to develop good leadership and management skills.
I hold experience of successfully motivating staff and students to get better results has broadened my knowledge of teaching techniques and strategies to get better results.
Most of my lessons are a two hour slot. I believe we should have enough time to master the skills needed. to get the results the students desire.
I hold extensive experience in teaching English in person and online. I am part of the team of tutors on the National Tutoring programme, who have had their education disrupted due to the pandemic. We are responsible for filling in those education gaps.
I use any online teaching platform to its maximum use, to help students gain the most out of my lessons.
