About Nina
Hello, my name is Nina, 34 years old and from the Netherlands.
In September 2022, I completed my studies to become an English teacher. Currently, I am traveling around the globe to learn from other cultures that can inspire me as a person and provide insights into education and life.
If I were to describe myself, I would say I am spontaneous, eager to learn, patient, and open-minded. I would love to work and live abroad. Being a fluent English speaker and educator, I strongly believe that children and/or adults equipped with the right learning skills are more proficient in global communication and likely to have a brighter future.

Dutch
The educational system in the Netherlands emphasizes active learning, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving skills. The methodology I used to create my lessons was focused on student-centered learning. I encouraged them to take responsibility for their own learning, set goals, and engage in self-reflection. I acted more as a coach to provide guidance and feedback.
Regarding teaching English as a foreign language, I find it important to focus on meaningful interaction, authentic language use, and real-life communication situations. Students are encouraged to engage in speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities that promote active language use.
