About GRACE

Good Day!

My name is Grace Duhaylungsod. I am 29 years old, and my birthday is November 20, 1996. I am a resident of Punta Princesa, Cebu City.

I am a licensed Professional Teacher with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in English Teaching at Cebu Technological University. I have also studied Dressmaking at Lazi Technical Institute.

I have teaching experience in both elementary and senior high school settings. I worked as a provisional teacher at Saint Francis of Assisi in Siquijor for six months. During my time there, I handled many students and taught different subjects, including English, Science, and Values Education. I also served as a Grade 12 Senior High School adviser.

In addition, I worked at Little Angels Montessori School in Tres de Abril, Punta Princesa, Cebu City, for three years. I taught various subjects, including Values Education, Araling Panlipunan, Mathematics, Science, English, and MAPEH.

Through my teaching experience, I have developed patience, flexibility, and the ability to work with students with different learning needs and abilities. I am passionate about helping students improve their knowledge, skills, and confidence. I believe that every student has the potential to learn, and as a teacher and tutor, I want to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment.

Aside from teaching, I enjoy swimming and jogging because they help me stay active and healthy. I also love designing and creating things, which allows me to express my creativity. One of the things I enjoy most is going to the mountains and appreciating the beauty of nature. I find nature peaceful and inspiring, and it helps me relax and refresh my mind.

I am also a hardworking and responsible person. As a breadwinner, I have learned the importance of dedication, perseverance, and commitment. I always do my best in everything I take on, especially when it comes to helping and educating students.

I would be grateful for the opportunity to work as a tutor and share my knowledge, skills, and experience with students. Thank you for considering my application.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I use Inquiry-Based Learning and Learning by Doing to make lessons interactive, meaningful, and student-centered. I follow the Gradual Release of Responsibility (GRR) model: I do, We do, and You do. I help students understand not only the correct answer but also why it is correct. I simplify difficult concepts, provide clear examples, ask questions to check understanding, and adjust my teaching strategies based on each learner’s needs. My lessons are designed for students at an appropriate level, from different backgrounds and with diverse learning needs.
