About Santonyo

I grew up and was educated in New York City. I am currently still living here, and now work to help the next generation read, write, speak and think at a higher level. I have an undergraduate degree in English, and a graduate degree in Education. I am a professional in making the complex seem relatively easy.

About the lesson

For the past 17 years, I have taught English to high school students in New York City. For the past 15 years, I have taught and loved my daughters (ages 15, 14, 11, and one on the way!) After identifying your strengths and weaknesses, I will devise a plan that will help you build on the areas you need to work on.
* Reading - We will work together to work on reading fluency, vocabulary acquisition, and comprehension.
* Basic Writing - I will use a Writing Curriculum I put together, to help you write 2-3 grades higher than where you are now.
* Advanced Writing - Based on our previous assignments, I will offer instruction on how to write Argumentation Essays, Creative Writing, Personal Writing, among many other types as well.

Details

My rate is consistent for any level of student up to 12th grade. I do not charge for travel, but take my time very seriously. It is valued as much as your education.
If the lesson is cancelled 24 hours prior to the lesson, a fee will not be charged.
If the lesson is cancelled within 24 hours, a 50% minor cancellation fee will be incurred (Based on Rate).
If the lesson is cancelled while I am traveling to your home, a 75% major cancellation fee incur. (B.O. R.)
