About Charlotte

I am a native English speaker currently living in Lithuania. I am working at a school teaching English to a variety of Lithuanian students. I also offer private lessons online which has allowed me to connect with a range of nationalities.

I have a First class honors degree in Psychology and I am TEFL certified. I have experience teaching English as a foreign language to many different ages, levels and groups. More specifically, I have taught conversational group classes, general group classes, 1 to 1 classes aging from 5 years of age to 55 and I have gained a lot of experience teaching Business English to private business students.

Prior to this, I gained lots of experience in various educational settings during my time at school and college.

I strive on creating a relaxed, fun and enjoyable learning environment. I get to know each of my students on a personal level and develop great student - teacher relationships. I use their interests and lifestyles to plan lessons, ensuring each lesson is as enjoyable and interesting as possible.

I defiantly do not use a text book grammar approach to teaching. I find this a very boring and unstimulating way to learn English! I use a range of materials, resources and activities best suited to the student.

I offer a flexible approach and I am quick to adapt to each students needs. So if you would to focus on certain skills or areas more than the others, this is no problem at all.

I keep a detailed log on each of my students which includes information such as: material we have covered, observations, pronunciation errors and new vocabulary . This not only helps the student and I to monitor progress but also identify areas which need more work. In addition, it helps to link and build upon student's skills which I believe is essential.

My standard rate is £15 per hour for online classes.

I offer discounts for lessons bought as a package and also run a 'refer a friend' scheme.
