About Sam
I am a New Zealand citizen born and raised in Dunedin and I am a native speaker of English. I am interested in reading about history, economics, geography and literature. I believe this everyday habit has helped me to have a better understanding of English as a written language. I have met many foreign students studying at Otago University and Otago Polytechnic through work in various jobs. In these situations, my non-English speaking co-workers often sought advice on writing English and preparing speeches for work presentations. They have often sought my help in order to improve their confidence and knowledge of vernacular English. It was from my co-workers I formed a desire to become an English language tutor.
I am also assisting with writing a book on the role of New Zealand intelligence operatives in the pacific during World War II.
