About Edson
Hi, my name is Edson. I am an English tutor with 4 years of experience working especially with beginners. I understand that every beginner needs a structure. So, I create lesson plans with small activities broken down into manageable chunks to help my students absorb and remember everything. I also encourage students to learn from their mistakes because I know that for learners at this level, everything is new and they are bound to make mistakes when they speak and write in English. However, in my class, mistakes are always welcome because I know that these mistakes lead to learning.

My teaching style is very innovative, since I always plan my lesson according to my student's needs and goals and I also try to understand the student’s interest and create lessons that promote interactions. I know in person how it feels like to learn a new language. In my teaching experience, I also have noticed that getting in the habit of repeating things helps my students understand the lesson and retain key phrases and words better. However, focusing on repeating the same words in my instructions means students with no experience with the English language will learn those words quickly, and understand better. Therefore, I will always extend the repetition to my classroom routine.
