About Yasmin
I am an English Literature graduate with A Levels in Maths, Art and English. I am a singer and an artist and view teaching as a collaborative and rewarding process. I had some obstacles applying from a state school so I'm also open to talking to prospective students and providing enlightening insights into Cambridge's process of selection and teaching styles. I am a flexible and creative tutor who focuses on engaging students and inspiring them towards a love of learning. I teach both GCSE and A Level Students as well as primary school students. I believe that education should be exciting and inclusive to all. My creative writing lessons often include visual and written prompts on power-points. I inform my students about classical literature so that they can informedly think outside the box in their work. I also prepare students for literature exams, by teaching them technical terms, thereby well equipping students to improve their exam grades.

I am an experienced English lecturer and have regularly listened to Yasmin teach her students online. She is such a natural born tutor! Not only is she sparkly, fun and extremely bright, she is also very thoughtful in her preparation and hugely encouraging in her sessions. Most importantly, her love of the subject is infectious; she is able to adapt to the needs of individuals, and her students always thrive. Yasmin comes highly recommended.
Yasmin has been tutoring my 10 year old daughter with creative writing since the start of 2023 and my daughter has very much enjoyed these sessions.
