About Don
Hi Everyone- I'm Don Fitch and I’m a program manager with over three decades of experience leading multimillion-dollar defense programs, acquisition teams, and lifecycle management initiatives for the U.S. Department of the Navy. I work in a very dynamic environment where multitasking, program management, and project execution are key. As a program manager I put teams together based on a colleague's strength and mentor each colleague from that starting point. I'm very hands-on and support my teams by sharing knowledge and lessons learned with new program managers and project leads - building confidence, and ensuring success. I bring that same approach to tutoring.

In my career, I have led teams, trained professionals, and guided colleagues through complex projects. In nearly every instance project leads, engineers and technicians lacked clear written communication skills. I became an English teacher out of necessity. Now what I enjoy most is sharing my knowledge and experience with new program managers and projects leads, as well as younger students who are struggling with English. I teach how to write reports, technical documentation, and class essays. My tutoring services are meant to enrich the student’s vocabulary, to demonstrate how to write using proper grammar, and to encourage the student to engage with other teammates to ensure both written and spoken communication are clear and well understood.
I also provide tutoring for the following Business Management Topics:
Program & Project Management – real-world strategies that drive results
U.S. Defense Acquisition – insights into procurement, compliance, and execution
Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) – proven practices for sustainment and lifecycle management
