About BRENDA
I am a second-year student in social work in Calgary, I have a degree in visual communication and graphic design in Mexico, I worked as a copywriter in a marketing company and as a graphic designer in Mexico. I have been a volunteer Spanish facilitator at Calgary Multicultural Center, Kerby Center, Nicholls Family Library.

Since I am also a caregiver for two elderly people, I really enjoy teaching older adults and students who have a basic level of the language. I use a learning method that is at a not very fast pace at the beginning so that students can retain the basics of Spanish without feeling under pressure since the intention is to enjoy learning. The support material is exercises that students can print weekly, the use of PowerPoint slides and, if possible, board games that can be printed in the case of group classes.
