About Cecile
Je m’appelle Cécile. J’ai passé 17 années en expatriation en Afrique, une expérience riche qui a profondément nourri mon ouverture d’esprit et mon sens de l’adaptation. Je suis installée à Montréal depuis quelques jours, où je débute un nouveau chapitre de vie. Passionnée par la lecture, l’histoire et les mathématiques, je suis également une grande amatrice de généalogie, un domaine qui me fascine particulièrement. Maman d’un enfant de 6 ans, j’accorde beaucoup d’importance à la curiosité, à la transmission et au plaisir d’apprendre au quotidien.
My name is Cécile. I spent 17 years living abroad in Africa, an experience that shaped my openness and adaptability. I have recently moved to Montreal, where I am starting a new chapter in my life. I have a strong interest in reading, history, and mathematics, and I am particularly passionate about genealogy. As the mother of a 6-year-old, I care deeply about curiosity, learning, and passing on knowledge in a positive and meaningful way.

Mon approche est à la fois structurée, bienveillante et adaptée à chaque élève. Forte de mon expérience dans le réseau AEFE, je m’attache à consolider les fondamentaux (lecture, écriture, compréhension) tout en développant la confiance et l’autonomie. J’adapte mon enseignement au rythme et au profil de chaque enfant, en combinant exigence et encouragement.
Chaque séance débute par une révision rapide des notions précédentes pour ancrer les acquis. Nous travaillons ensuite sur un objectif précis (règle de grammaire, compréhension de texte, production écrite). Des exercices pratiques, accompagnés de corrections détaillées, permettent de valider la compréhension. La séance se termine par une synthèse et, si nécessaire, des exercices simples à réaliser en autonomie.
Mon expérience au sein du réseau AEFE me permet de bien maîtriser les attendus du système scolaire français et les étapes de progression.
Mes cours s’adressent aux élèves du primaire, notamment ceux suivant le programme français (AEFE ou équivalent), ainsi qu’aux enfants ayant besoin d’un accompagnement en français langue maternelle ou langue étrangère.
My approach is structured, supportive, and tailored to each student. With my experience in the AEFE network, I focus on strengthening core skills (reading, writing, comprehension) while building confidence and independence. I adapt my teaching to each child’s pace and profile, combining high standards with encouragement.
Each lesson begins with a quick review of previous material to reinforce learning. We then work on a specific objective (grammar rule, text comprehension, or writing). Practical exercises, along with detailed corrections, ensure full understanding. The session ends with a summary and, if needed, simple exercises to be completed independently.
My experience within the AEFE network allows me to have a strong understanding of the expectations of the French education system and the different stages of progression.
My lessons are designed for primary school students, particularly those following the French curriculum (AEFE or equivalent), as well as children who need support in French as a first or second language.
