About Nida

I’m a current studentship-funded PhD Researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) with 4 years of previous tutoring experience, striving every day to become a better tutor.

My main motivation for teaching has always been and continues to be my belief that knowledge is boundless and something that everyone deserves to have a chance to explore in their own way. I believe that often, the learning process is put out as a dreadful standardized one in which knowledge is reduced to a banal instrument solely for mindlessly achieving rather than a wonderful joyful tool to interact with the world and fulfil academic pursuits. I have always aimed to instill in my students the practical skills and knowledge needed to move confidently in the practice of learning a subject. I want to help them build their path and their result rather than forcing them to fit into a mold that does not or has not worked for them so far.

In my previous experiences, I have worked with students that have had their particular challenges with Economic and Political concepts and it has been increasingly rewarding to see their confusions and frustrations change steadily into knowledge and consistent progress.

That rewarding progress as well as my personal motivation is what keeps me striving to tutor.

I ensure that my lessons (ranging from 1.5 to 2 hours) are built on creating a relationship and a space for my students in which learning is a safe joyful effort, rather than a stressful one. You are more than allowed to make mistakes, voice your concerns, ask many questions, and learn from them. I am a firm believer that learning, despite being an often challenging process, does not have to be a dreadful standardized procedure and I am here to facilitate that.

Due to this belief, my teaching methodologies are rooted in recognizing and then meeting the needs, learning style, and challenges of every individual student. However, a few things have remained the same in my teaching so far. I have always strived to be clear and concise in my explanations. I have used teaching resources such as real-life case studies, Aristotelian debate (easier than it sounds!), and projects for my students to learn in an interactive way that suited their personal style. I ensured that what seem like large, complicated concepts in course material or assignments were broken down into manageable chunks. Through setting realistic milestones, I made certain my students saw their tangible progress over time and thus built their knowledge and confidence. And finally, I provided regular feedback and encouragement that helped students recognise their strengths as well as their areas for further improvement. I have helped my students through a variety of tasks including course material, homework assignments, past papers, and specifically challenging topics to ensure their sustainable progress and success.

In addition to learning course material, I believe it is important to help students develop the skills and strategies they need to become independent learners. I aim to teach students not only the content they need to know, but also the study skills, time management, and organization skills they need to succeed academically. I strive to instil in my students a sense of confidence in their learning abilities that proves valuable in their academic pursuits.

My lessons are threefold.
1) GCSE Politics and Economics
2) A Level Politics and Economics
3) Undergraduate Level Politics & International Relations.

I have A*s in GCSE and A Levels as well as Cambridge Learners Awards for Highest Score in IGCSE and AS Economics in the Region. Moreover, I have a First Class Honours in my Undergraduate degree that I enjoyed tremendously. I also have a First Class/Distinction in my Masters in Environment, Politics, and Development from SOAS University of London. I am currently a PhD Researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science and the recipient of the distinguished 2025 LSE Studentship.

I believe my enjoyment and passion for these subjects, my genuine tried and tested teaching methodology, and my dedication and care for my students makes me the right tutor for them. I have experience guiding past students, including neurodivergent students affected by autism or ADHD, through their academic challenges and helped them come out the other side with great progress and a genuine love for learning and can’t wait to do that with you!
