About Abi
I am an experienced tutor and mentor with languages and mathematics.
I took Maths, Further Maths, Latin and Ancient Greek at A Level as well as Physics and Critical Thinking at AS Level and achieved A’s.
I completed my degree in Classics with study abroad in Spain at UCL (University College London) focusing more on the Latin and Ancient Greek language modules and achieved a 2.1.
I now work in Data Analytics at Barclays Head Office and am working towards a qualification in Data Science. I spent 2 years on a graduate scheme and 2 months doing an internship with Barclays prior to this and have worked in Commercial, Strategy and Marketing areas in both Barclays UK and Barclaycard.
I am also a mentor for Young Mensa members looking for A Level, University and Career advice.
I learnt Spanish at University and moved to Spain for a year where I really studied the language in depth. I have been speaking Spanish daily for the last 6 years and have furthered my studies.
I have achieved various prizes including Gold UKMT maths challenge certificates and qualification for Olympiad all 5 times I entered and Merit and Distinction certificates in the Olympiad. I also achieved a Merit in the Jowett Sendelar classical essay competition.
I am also a keen dancer and photographer in my spare time and have performed on many West End stages.
