About Evan
My story:
Before taking my GCSES, I was in the lower sets for both Maths and Science, struggled in topic tests and was disappointed with my predicted grades. I felt like I had something to prove: revision through memorization stopped, instead focusing on really grasping key ideas. This not only helped me achieved top grades, opening doors to attend my desired sixth form taking the A-levels of choice but consequently being admitted to Bath University's Computer Science course, a very competitive program. I'm proud to say for the last 2+ years I've been absolutely dedicated to give other students these opportunities and achieve their academic and life goals.

I create in-depth learning plans based on their strengths and weaknesses. I have been told that my approach to teaching makes it enjoyable for my students as I am considered patient and very approachable. For students interested in taking their subject at uni, I set interesting YouTube videos and activities as non-intensive revision, driving their passion to read around their subject, boost their personal statements and hopefully share the ideas in class.
I've been fed back some thought-provoking ideas from students of mine originating from these debates had in class. Showing outside interest in your subjects outside of the curriculum always makes for a great teacher UCAS reference. I'm knowledgeable and experienced in programming, artificial intelligence, web development and teaching computer science, mathematics and physics at GCSE and A-Level.
I am happy to travel up to 5 miles from my home and am currently available evenings and week-ends.
