About Sophie
I have always loved maths and enjoy interacting with children of all ages. I’m friendly, approachable and supportive and I genuinely care about the students that I coach.
After graduating with a maths degree from Oxford University, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant. I then spent over 20 years working in financial services. I’ve tutored on a voluntary basis for 6 years at a Primary school in Tower Hamlets, where I helped Y5 and Y6 children who were struggling with maths. I have also tutored for GCSE maths revision classes at a local secondary school. I am currently tutoring maths online to two Y5 students on a voluntary basis through a charity.
I’ve left my banking role and am keen to spend more time tutoring maths, for any level up to and including GCSE maths. I would love the opportunity to help others love maths as much as I do. I am DBS checked.
