About William

Hi! I'm a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Purdue University.   My goal is to make science and math understandable, practical, and — most importantly — approachable.   I teach the why behind the what by connecting theory to real-world applications. Whether we’re tackling algebraic equations, high school physics, or college-level mechanical systems, I adjust my approach to fit each student’s learning style.   I prioritize patience, clarity, and step-by-step guidance.   My method blends visual aids, active problem-solving, and real-life examples to ensure students truly get it — not just memorize it.

What a typical lesson plan looks like:
ⴾ Check-In & Recap – Brief review of previous material or homework
ⴾ Concept Breakdown – interactive explanation with examples and real-life context
ⴾ Guided Practice – work through problems together to reinforce understanding
ⴾ Independent Try & Feedback – you take the lead with support as needed
ⴾ Wrap-Up – review key takeaways plus tips and strategies for homework, tests, and real-world applications

Every lesson is adapted to your pace, goals, and curriculum—whether you're preparing for an AP test, catching up in class, or pushing ahead in college-level STEM courses.

What sets me apart:
ⴾ Engineer’s mindset: I teach how to think through problems logically and creatively.
ⴾ Real-world insight: I connect theory with application, making learning more relevant.
ⴾ Patient and adaptable: Whether you're stuck on algebra or struggling with physics, I’ll meet you where you are and help you grow.
ⴾ Proven success: My students improve not only their grades but their confidence in tackling STEM challenges.

Let’s work together to turn confusion into clarity and stress into success. I’m here to help you not just get better grades—but truly understand the "why" behind the math and physics.

I work with:
ⴾ Middle School Students – Intro to STEM, pre-algebra, problem-solving, project-based learning
ⴾ High School Students – Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Physics, Engineering Electives, Test Prep (SAT/ACT Math/Science)
ⴾ College Students – Intro to Engineering, Statics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, CAD, Mechanical Systems, Materials, and more

I specialize in helping students master math and physics—from middle school fundamentals to high school coursework and college-level material.
My strong technical foundation allows me to break down complex concepts into clear, practical explanations that truly stick.

I've completed courses like Calculus, Algebra, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, and Mechanics of Materials — each one deepening my understanding of the math and physics principles that students often struggle with.
These courses didn’t just teach me theory — they taught me how to apply math and physics to real-world problems, which is exactly the skill I pass on to my students.

I believe that understanding > memorization.  We'll focus on building a strong conceptual foundation before diving into problem-solving.
My sessions are interactive and tailored to your learning style.
I can use visual aids, analogies, and real-life examples to make abstract concepts click.
If something doesn’t make sense, we’ll try a new angle—until it does.
